Smackeyville Sea Lions were led to their 9 point victory by a 24 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 220 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 17 rushing yards. With this performance, Roethlisberger was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 17. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Jamaal Charles, who tore apart the Denver Broncos defense for 259 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 3 receiving yards.
"This team always seems to find a way to win," Smackeyville Sea Lions coach Jr. said.
If It's Brown, It's Down were helped out in a losing cause by a 18 point effort from Vernon Davis, who got by the St. Louis Rams defense for 89 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Davis was the number 1 ranked tight end for week 17. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Robbie Gould, who snuck past the Detroit Lions defense for 3 field goals made and 4 extra points.
"They've had our number all season," If It's Brown, It's Down coach Dave said.
This brings the record for Smackeyville Sea Lions to 7-6, and drops If It's Brown, It's Down to a record of 7-6.
