Baja Bombers were led to their 3 point victory by a 25 point effort from Kurt Warner, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 340 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. With this performance, Warner was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 10. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Joseph Addai, who snuck past the New England Patriots defense for 41 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 27 receiving yards.
"This is a dream come true," Baja Bombers coach Bobby Brownstein said.
Adirondack Holes were helped out in a losing cause by a 19 point effort from Drew Brees, who got by the St. Louis Rams defense for 223 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 10 point effort from Anquan Boldin, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 105 receiving yards.
"We don't care about moral victories," Adirondack Holes coach Jim O'Conner said.
Adding salt to the wound, Adirondack Holes could have scored 82 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Jim O'Conner left key players like Jonathan Stewart and his corresponding 20 points on the bench.
Baja Bombers took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 9 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 10. This brings the record for Baja Bombers to 5-5, and drops Adirondack Holes to a record of 1-8-1.
Coming up in week 11, the 4-5-1 Tampa Heroes are at Baja Bombers, where Baja Bombers are an early 7.2-point underdog, while Adirondack Holes are at the 5-5 Rhodesia Ridgebacks, where Rhodesia Ridgebacks are an early 8.2-point favorite.
