News Articles > Rodgers has sprained foot and toe

(FFChamps) Updating an earlier report, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers came out of Sunday's loss to the Vikings with a sprained foot and a sprained toe on the other foot. That was the word from Packers head coach Mike McCarthy today, who said that Rodgers would probably miss some practice time this week, but is expected to be ready for next week's game against the Buccaneers.

Analysis: The Packers obviously need to do something about protecting Rodgers, but Aaron also has to start making quicker decisions and getting rid of the ball faster, even if it's just to throw it away. The injuries to both feet will surely limit his running in upcoming weeks. Rodgers currently leads all NFL quarterbacks with 188 rushing yards.
