Topic 2008 Don Shula Dynasty League Message Board / 2009 League Cost Change (15 hits)

Commissioner Date Mon Jan 26 8:17:17 p.m. ET 2009
2009 cost: $125 ($100 for 2009 season, $25 towards 2010 deposit)
2010 cost: $100 ($75 for 2010 season, $25 towards 2011 deposit) and so on

Retiring from the league will be handled this way:

C.  Retiring or Quitting Owners
1.  An owner can retire in good standing.  Retirement must be announced before January 1st following the NFL season to remain in good standing.  A new owner will be sought for the full $100 entry fee.  If one cannot be found by January 1st, the $25 deposit will not be refunded and will be used to offer the team at a discounted price of $75.  Once a retirement is announced, that owner is not allowed to make any trades (players and/or picks) at any time during the remainder of the season.
2.  Owners who quit the league unexpectedly will not receive a refund.  The moneys paid in advance for that team will be used towards a new incoming owner's fees to help in finding a replacement owner on short notice.

For this season the January 31st deadline will still be the original $100.  The other $25 will be due by the time the NFL season starts.
