I just wanted to get Jerwin's side for why he wanted DeSean jackson? And maybe kyle's reasoning?
To me the trade seems...a little one sided. If it was Jackson and a draft pick or another player I would be a little bit happier. Also, the conditions are against Kyle. He is the commish, it was with his dad and the trade was processed right away. It is just hard for me to believe why jerwin would want this trade. Braylon had an exceptional year last year, given it was his only year "elite" numbers. And this year he hasn't put up the same numbers, but they are nearly the same in point totals for the year. Both are young (so both hold the same value there) and both are WR--so there is no explanation like "I wanted/needed a WR/RB". granted Jackson does have a better per game average by 3 points, but he is undersized at his position and I just think braylon's side has the advantage because he is a better keeper. If this was a re-draft league this trade would be perfectly even.  I just want to hear why both managers did this trade.

This brings up another point--I think we do need to put in the rules that trade will be processed day of, or twenty four hours or something. I had a trade last week that did not get processed until monday and I was hoping to use Schaub as my QB that week. I know it says to discuss trades outside of the league and not just offer them, but I don't know a lot of the guys in the league so that is hard. Also maybe giving people time ot discuss the trades. If it looks one sided, then both teams can discuss why they did the trade.

Why wasn't your Schaub trade processed? How long was it sitting on the commissioner's desk?

Trades should be processed quickly...

I know the Edwards/Jackson trade was sent by Jerwin and accepted by Kerwin on sunday night, I watched it happen. I was as disgusted then as I am now with jerwin's judgement, it's almost as bad as Obama's. But it is Jerwin's prerogative to run his team as he wishes.

I think he likes Desean because he went to Cal or something.

I think it was accepted last tuesday or wednesday and processed on monday this week. I was asking Kyle when it would be processed, but got no response--I obviously did not care that much cause I could have called him. I threw out some trades for QB's because of the Romo news. I thought I was gonna get to play schaub, instead I had to play edwards. Luckily I still won (hopefully). If I would have had schaub it wouldn't be so close.

I really just wanna hear both sides of reasoning. And i would kinda like an addition or change to the trade processing time.

When did you ask me when the trade would be processed?  I don't recall hearing from you about it.

It was in league chat, I asked if the trade would be processed. You're right tho, I should have shot you an email or text...but I know how much you hate me when I talk to you about fantasy so I didn't want to bother you. From now on if I have a problem I will bother you tho. Thanks :-)

I only hate you when you talk to me about fantasy while your team is beating mine because of some bullshit "safety" where Jared Allen didn't even fucking touch the QB.

The trade was up for 2 days and nobody said a word of complaint about it.  FYI, if anyone wants to protest a trade, the time to do it is BEFORE it is processed.  The crap that gets posted in the league chat is NOT a formal complaint.

About Nick and Dan's trade:
I got an email from Dan early in the week seeing if the trade could be processed after Sunday so HE could start Schaub, so I assumed that he and Nick had talked about it before the trade and made that agreement.  Dan sent me an email on Saturday that let me know that this was NOT the case.  After that, I simply forgot to get in touch with Nick on Saturday to see what he wanted to do about it.  I thought it would be a bad idea to process the trade on Sunday morning since that would've had a huge effect on both of your lineups and either of you may not have been around to switch your starting QBs.  Again Nick, I didn't hear any complaints about this until just now.  If there are ever any concerns about ANYTHING, send chris, derek, and/or me an email or a text message right away.  The last thing that I want is for people to feel like they're being screwed over or cheated when there's money on the line.  I am responsible for the trade not being processed last week, and I'm sorry about that.  Nick won his game, so thankfully it didn't cause much harm.

About my trade with Mr. Erwin:
Yeah, this one was processed a little quick.  That's not because I wanted to rush it through, it's because Jeff is leaving for Hawaii tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure he had time to set his lineup.  All of the Erwins were around when the trade was offered/accepted, and there were no complaints from the rest of the league after 2 full days, so processing quickly didn't seem to be an issue.  However, because I processed the trade quickly, I'm open to putting it up for a possible veto if there are enough people who are upset about it.  I'll have to check the league rules to see what our policy is for vetoes.  I'll look at the trade-processing rules, too, but I THINK what we have in there now is a processing time that depends on agreements made by the people involved in the trade.  If that's the case, we can work something out to specify an amount of time for the trade to be processed when no agreement is in place.  You're right that the rule absolutely needs to be more specific so this doesn't happen again.

Now, I'll step off the commissioner pedestal to address Nick's arguments against the trade:
1.  Yes, I have the commish account, but all 4 of the Erwins make commissioner decisions.  I just do all the day-to-day crap on the website.  We were all there when the trade was proposed and accepted.
2. Jerwin wanted the trade.  He proposed it.
3. The trade was a bright, young rookie for an under-performing 'star' player (who has only had one good year)...  Nick, I'd love to hear you, the guy who invented this type of trade, tell me ALL about how this is unfair.
4. A 3 point/game average is huge.  If each of your offensive players scored 3 more points/game, you'd have 21 more points every game.
5. Braylon scored almost half of his points in ONE game.  He's put up a score I would be happy with in TWO games.  Jackson has put up a good score in FIVE games.  So even the +3 points/game average is skewed because of Braylon's one good game.
6. Undersized?  You're gonna be one of the guys who calls a player too small?  Nate Robinson is disgusted with you right now.  Also... Jackson is an inch taller than Steve Smith (the good one)
7. Jackson is a starting WR who also returns punts.  Most games, that's worth 0-2 extra points, but he'll bust out an occasional big game just because of those yards (or an extra TD).

The issue here is that Coach Jerwin does not pay enough attention to what is going on here.  I had firmly in my head that we were talking about Brandon Jackson.  He isn't that good, hasn't performed and it seemed like a fair trade.  I get rid of an under-performer and I get someone with a name like 'DeShawn' from Cal.  Seemed OK to me.  I really didn't understand what all the fuss was about, Brandon Jackson is just not that good.

Somewhere in all this Kyle and I ended up talking about two different people.  I was thinking Brandon Jackson, he was thinking Braylon Edwards.  I have NO interest in trading Braylon Edwards and would not have even talked about it.  Kyle's enthusiasm for the trade, which I did not get, was because he was talking about Braylon Edwards.  I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing and put up the wrong trade.  I am sure Kyle said Braylon, I heard and was thinking Brandon..

My error, so it is up to Kyle as to what he wants to do.

Coach 'Idoit' Jerwin...

Well if that is true it should probably be taken away.

Kyle, I didn't mean to jump on you and say the trade was unfair. I believe I said the trade is close to being even. And I never said "veto". I don't like vetoing trades because trades should be between two consenting owners. My strategery in trades (since I invited this sort of thing B-)) is to always test the waters. Throw out a trade that "looks good" on paper and see if the guys likes it, if not he will counter...or just not answer :-(. Also picking on the nubes always works!

But this trade is obviously not two consenting owners with what coach Jerwin has come forth with. But the Erwin family is known for their sarcasm so I am not sure if what he said is "true" :-). If it is and he offered the wrong guy I don't think it should be processed.

The weird thing is I didn't get an email saying their was a trade up for review. Also, on the trade center, for the past two days it has said "0" trades waiting for review from commish. I apoligize that I did not get these notifications and have brought this up after processing.

To be clear... the rules do NOT state in any way that this trade had to be undone.  If this happens to anyone else in the future, you don't have to feel like you're required to give the player back.  Once ANY trade is accepted on the league website, it is official.  Jerwin allegedly made a mistake, but that's his own fault.  Short of collusion or something so lopsided that it makes me want to vomit on my keyboard, pretty much everything goes.  I gave Braylon back because I feel like the one thing more valuable than Braylon Edwards is having my dad owe me something (to be redeemed at a time of my choosing).

So... the trade is undone.

Before the Jackson for Edwards trade went through, I was considering trading Kyle Colston for Jackson.

Oh - and I also remember making a huge deal out of the "Fucking Loop Hole" trade, when Kyle traded L.J. for Tomlinson. Turns out the trade was about as fair as one can get. I won't be surprised if Jackson turns into a stud WR.

Turns out the trade Nick and I made earlier hasn't turned out so well for me. Lets undo that one too, just to make it fair.

I set up the new draft to begin this Friday, Oct 24th.  We need to make sure everyone is online most of the day Friday so that we can get it done in time for this week's games.  Also, make sure you post your list of keepers before I wipe the rosters Thursday at midnight.

I agree with Derek. Re-do the entire season. I'll call Goodwell and see if he can reschedule everything.
